Fish farming production conditions in Finnish coastline of the Baltic Sea

The authors introduce a condition analysis at potential sites along the Finnish coastline. These sites were chosen according to Finnish spatial plan for aquaculture.

Two spatial planning reports published now also in English

The first report aims at identifying the most suitable areas for mussel farms at the Swedish South-East coast. In the other report the authors present a GIS-model developed for localising cage farms in lakes at Jämtland Sweden.

Six areas recommended as possible suitable localities for mussel farming in the County of Kalmar

Suitable localities for large-scale mussel farms were evaluated at meetings in six coastal municipalities in the County of Kalmar, Sweden. Of the 12 potential areas, 6 are recommended as possible areas for large-scale mussel farming based on practical conditions and the lack of conflicting interests.
